Born and raised in the grand state of Arizona, I am an outdoors-man who enjoys all the activities that come with it. I have all sorts of hobbies and love making things with my hands. In 2016, I came across a video on how to build a bullwhip, and the rest is history.
When it comes to making whips, I strive to make every whip better than the last one. I’ve never wanted to settle for “good enough”. I want to settle for “the best”, or at least get as close as I can to it. I’ve purchased whips from other whip makers and ripped them open to see what’s inside, and have collaborated with expert whip makers to learn some of the best techniques in the craft; so I can make a better product that you’ll know is truly, high caliber.
At first, I just wanted to make money. I soon realized that it wasn't what it was cracked up to be -- I was actually losing money. So instead, I started focusing on quality and excellence over cold hard cash. As a result, whip making has taught me the value of craftsmanship. Also, a part of me just enjoys making them. For me, it’s sort of therapeutic, and I love the joy of cracking a brand new whip every now and then.
I have retired from whip making.
I am currently an officer in US Space Force working at the Peterson SFB in Colorado Springs.
